Country Parks

High Lodge is a very popular countryside attraction, which is owned and run by Forest Enterprise. Here, you can pick up any number of trails around the park, enjoy an open air concert in the summer or hire a bicycle and explore High Lodge at your own pace. Not far from High Lodge is Brandon Country Park on the outskirts of town, a spectacularly maintained 32 acre landscaped park with lush lawns and lakes, owned by Suffolk County Council and managed in partnership with Forest Heath District Council. Brandon Country Park offers free entry to visitors year round, where you are free to bring along a picnic, enjoy a ramble in the woods, orienteering or learn more about the rich heritage of Forest Heath in the visitor centre.

Leisure Activities

Forest Heath offers a selection of leisure activities for both young and old. Most of the leisure centres, swimming pools and community activities are provided by the local council. However, they are managed by Anglia Community Leisure. These include leisure centres and swimming pools in Newmarket, Mildenhall and Brandon. The Arts

There are no formal art venues as such in Forest Heath. However, Forest Heath District Council promotes the arts by funding many worthwhile arts projects in the region. Some past efforts have included the ever popular Dance East, theatre and entertainment in village halls, promoting visual art exhibitions and commissioning public art and sculpture.
